This exhibition marks Gao Ludi's inaugural large-scale solo showcase within an art museum, featuring over 30 newly created paintings from the artist's recent years. At the heart of Gao Ludi's artistic expression is the concept of "overwriting," which forms a central theme. It connects the essential functions and attributes of the depicted subject, the "storage medium," and the "mask" on both material and spiritual levels. This theme is woven into the artist's actions and creative logic. With paintings dating back over 30,000 years as the backdrop, Gao Ludi employs this ancient medium to depict, contemplate, and respond to the evolution of modern storage media.
