About

As the artist's inaugural solo exhibition, it brings together several significant works from Tan Jing's recent years. Tan Jing's artistic endeavors excel in blending and refining various materials such as scents, fibers, and glass to evoke a specific experience. She transforms the simplest everyday objects into imaginative gateways. Tan Jing's ancestors were Thai overseas Chinese who were repatriated in the 1950s. She is deeply concerned with the emotions concealed during her family elders' dispersion, where their losses and traumas are often forgotten in corners.
